Global Noir hasn’t been held before, but promises to be an exciting replacement for the popular Chiltern Kills festival – which has sadly died! Participants include Vaseem Khan, Sólveig Pálsdóttir, Tim Sullivan, Jón Atli Jónasson, Felix Francis, AA Chaudhuri, Erlender Arason, Paul Waters and Quentin Bates.

The festival is open to all so, if there are tickets still available, you can arrange to go along as well. With ticket prices as low as £15 per person, this is excellent value.

The event takes place between 3pm and 8pm, so you’ve got plenty of time to get there, and you can still be home before midnight!

After appearing as a panellist at the inaugural Self-Pub Fest in April this year, Graeme is attending as a delegate this time and is looking forward to watching some excellent panels/presentations as well as catching up with fellow authors and readers. Self-Pub Fest is the brainchild of Morgen Bailey, who wanted to raise the profile of Indie authors. This event will focus on aspects of the self-publishing process, so it should be interesting to authors who are either already self-published or contemplating it.

Graeme is giving a talk, What Makes a Great Crime Novel, which explores crime fiction, using examples from his own writing and that of others.

With opportunities to participate and ask questions, this is a must for fans of crime fiction and aspiring crime writers.

Suicide, the third book in the award-winning Rand Scott series, will have its official launch on 22nd November, and to celebrate that launch, Graeme will have his first in-person event. This will take place at Evie’s Book Nook, an independent book shop in the North Nottinghamshire market town of Retford, and it will be a daytime event.
