Last May I went to the Deepings Literary Festival and had a great day out, some of which I wrote about here. On reflection, I now know I should have had two or three great days out. Maybe next year.
There was a specific event there which was promoted as Read Dating. An intriguing concept, I went along with an open mind, and – whilst the other events were good – this is the one that has stuck most firmly with me since.
Happy days, then, when I was presented with the opportunity to participate in another Read Dating event. Organised as a spin-off from the Deepings Festival, this one takes place in four weeks’ time and, with an even bigger line-up of authors – some I’m already familiar with, and others new to me – this has the potential to be even more interesting (if not exciting!).
I’ll be sharing more about the event between now and then. In the meantime, if this piques your interest and the town of Bourne in Lincolnshire is easy enough for you to get to (it’s not far off the A1), come along. You can find out how to get a ticket here (you will need to scroll down a bit).
