It’d be misleading for me to say the reviews are coming in thick and fast, but they are coming in. To be fair, this one came in over a week ago, but I didn’t want to bombard loyal readers with daily bulletins.
What’s a particular joy for me about this one is the fact that it’s by Lauren North, author of The Perfect Betrayal (I might be thick, but I really didn’t see that twist coming!). I have a confession. I have met Lauren twice – but both times only very briefly so, in all honesty, I can say we’re not bosom buddies. That may change after this review – provided she doesn’t obtain a restraining order…
A dark and compelling adventure story that will drag you into a world of sorcerers and a twisted battle between good and evil. The author paints a world of vivid imagery, honour and friendship, hate and control that will keep you wanting more. A fantastic read!
