This coming Sunday (26th April, in case you’re not sure) sees my first panel event for 2026. Although my focus at the moment is on writing crime, I’ll be moderating a panel on horror and fantasy – I have been known to dabble in those areas in the past. But I will be happy to talk crime (fiction, not doing it) if anyone wants to have a chat at some point.
The Self-Pub Fest is taking place in Aylesbury, so there will be travelling involved from my home in North Nottinghamshire, but I’m looking forward to the trip south and the chance to meet up with fellow authors and readers. If you’re already going, do come up and say hello. I don’t bite – except on special occasions.
Along with the other attending authors, I’ll have books available there to buy and will be willing to sign them. If you already have a book and want it signing, I’m happy to do that as well – as long as it’s a book of mine! The main thing I’ve always got from this kind of event, though, is the benefit of listening to other authors talk about their writing. It always leaves me inspired to get on and write more. If you’re a writer yourself, that’d be incentive enough to come along.
With around thirty authors contributing, across a range of genres, there should be something for every reader and writer – and certainly well worth the ticket price (even after Eventbrite have added their fee on).
